Description

Started as a character concept, but
ended up making a whole scene to fit him in. Took my computer 52 hours to render in full res, with
GI and dof.

Check out the Equipment image link.

Really nice stuff, the only problem i have with it is you spent so much time on the GI and what looks like... minutes on the background, some one told me that the environment is what makes an image great. also.. another thing thats bugging me is the angle, makes the nose hard to see, but dont get me wrong, this is a cool image ... i really like it =)

i love the detail on the equipment. great job on that. but the guy has the look on his face like there are 20 guns being pointed at him and he knows that he has only 2 more seconds to live. hilarious.

his face and the background are getting this image down a lot.. all equipement, and details are really good!
maybe you could make a bit better lighting. I think there's a problem with shadows. eg. the belt is looking like it's flying in the air a bit.
anyway, I think you're good enaught to make really awesome pictures :)

Thanks alot for the critique, I really appreciate it. Im not going to try and defend myself when it comes to the background, it no beaut. But then again, I wanted to focus to be on the character and not the background so.! Still not defending myself :) .
The flying belt is indeed flying in the front, but only because it's straped around he's "vest".
When it comes to mr.GI, he's no perfect model, more cartoon than reallife. Then again he's my first completed human model, so it can only get better. Or should anyway :) thanks.
